TRANSFORMATION COMMITTEE

Our church entered a covenant with Indian Nations Presbytery in 2006 to become a 'transformation church".  This means we will look at our community to see what they need and match it with programs and activities we will offer at FPC-Moore.  Some committee members attended a national conference on transformation in Des Moines, Iowa, October 2006.  Transformation is not something that happens overnight...but, more like a 7 year journey.

July 2007 - Preparation has begun for a congregation & community survey.  This will be a huge step in our transformation process. The committee will start meeting weekly for the next 8-10 weeks as they learn about Percept's 'Revision' program.

Congregation Survey for the Percept Study will be given to each church member to complete.  The Transformation Committee needs the input of each member to determine the future of this church.  Every member is encouraged to complete this multiple choice questionaire and all completed forms will be sent onto Percept for data compilation.  The information will be used in the Group Discussions starting in January 2008.

The Transformation Committee will host an Afternoon at the Movie and show "Facing the Giants" in the Christian Education Building.  This is a highly positive & motivational film about a high school football team that puts everything in God's hands. You won't want to miss this event.  "Never Give Up. Never Back Down. Never Lose Faith."

Percept Study & Group Discussions
The congregation members will start meeting in-home and discuss the Percept Study Context Report.  The report is a combination data from Congregation Survey and Community Census.  They will look at 'Where we are...Where we want to be... & How we are going to get there'. The congregation will be split into two discussion groups.  Group 1 will meet at the home of Chuck & Lynn Ballenger.  Group 2 will meet at the home of Rose & Manny Badillo.  Contact any Transformation member or the church office to find out which group you are in.
